Oh, I almost forgot, my most horrible moment as a mom! First of all, we had probably fifteen or twenty people with us at the parade, including lots of adults. Well as you know, my kids are sooo fast on their feet! I honestly thought that someone was watching Mason, until I started looking around and realized he was GONE! I was panicking and calling his name. When the lady next to us said, "Are you looking for your little boy? He ran out in the street and almost got hit and some lady grabbed him." So now I'm frantically looking for this lady, when I saw her in the street holding my little boy, I ran over to her and said THANK YOU SO MUCH! The tears were already building up, when the lady looked at me and gave me the dirtiest look ever, like I was the worst mother in the world for losing my little boy! Lets just say, that was not my finest moment! I know that it can happen to anyone, but it scared me to death! I definitely need to invest in some leashes!

SUMMERFEST
I can't even tell you how much I LOVE this time of year! I love picnics, parades, carnivals, fireworks, swimming and all of the other fun summer stuff! Here are some cute pictures from the Orem Summerfest! Thanks Sash for letting me steal them off of your blog!

Swimming Lessons!
So it has been the busiest summer and I have SO much to blog about! I'm not really sure where to start. Be patient with me as I slowly update my summer!

At the beginning of summer Mason and Carly started swimming lessons. They each had a private lesson that lasted 15 minutes (each), everyday for two weeks. If you've ever seen the video on the news of the toddler falling into the swimming pool and turning over and floating on its back, that's what these lessons were for. Obviously not to teach them strokes, but to teach them water safety and to float on their backs. The teacher was amazing with the kids!
Even though they LOVE the water, they cried through every single lesson! It's amazing how much they still learned! The funniest part was when Mason would clap for himself every time he did something good, while he was still crying! These were pictures from their second lesson, the only day that I had my camera. Thanks so much Sharon (grandma Francis) for making it happen!

Does this get any easier???
Lately I've been having days where I feel like pulling my hair out! I'm pretty sure that my babies tricked me by being such good babies the entire first year of their lives. When I first had the twins people who already had twins always told me that it gets easier the older they get. Well that hasn't really been the case for me! I thought the first year was so great, I actually felt pretty confident about everything. Ever since they turned one they have become so naughty! They both throw a killer temper tantrum(especially Mason)! And they have recently become sooo attached to me! I love that they love me, but it is really hard when they both want all of my attention and will never go to anyone else. Remember how I said the nursery went pretty good, well I was wrong! I'm hoping that they do better with time. Today they were both hysterical/ crying/ screaming/ throwing a fit for a good half an hour for no apparent reason. I'm sure that I'm just preaching to the choir!
Don't get me wrong! I love every minute with my babies, even the bad ones! Which really are few are far between. But I just wanted to take a minute to vent. Does everyone else have days where they feel like this?

Kangaroo Zoo
A bunch of my girl friends and I took our kids to Kangaro Zoo on Thursday. The problem is, my kids like to split and run in opposite directions! I'm sure a lot of you have the same problem! So it was completely exhausting for me...but the kids had a lot of fun!

For some reason, this picture turned out blurry, but here we are
getting ready to leave. Half of the kids were still playing!

Random Pictures
I always take pictures of the kids on my cell phone when I don't have my camera close by and then I never download them. Well this week I had to get a new cell phone after Carly had sucked on it and ruined it for good! Here are some of the pictures I finally downloaded before getting a new phone. Most of them are from a little while ago. Be advised, The quality is really horrible!

Carly loved her new sunglasses so much!
She wore them all morning and then feel asleep with them on.

Scott sent this to me one day when I was out on a girls night.
This is how the babysitting goes when mom is not home!

HOORAY for Nursery! 18 months
Sunday was Mason & Carly's first day in the nursery! I have seriously been counting down the weeks ever since they turned one! They only went for the first hour, but I was pretty nervous the whole time and kept wanting to go and peek in the window to see how they were doing. Carly wasn't so sure about it and the nursery leader said that she held her the whole time, but Mason just played good. So considering there were no tears, I think they did pretty good for their first week!

I thought that everyone might get a kick out of the stats from their 18 month check up........ I know, my kids are tiny! Can you believe that they are a year and a half and not even twenty pounds?? I guess we just grow them little in our family!
Mason: 18 lb 6 oz
30.4 in
Carly: 16 lb 14 oz
28.8 in
They may be little, but they are totally healthy and up to speed on most everything!
